Q. What is your pet policy?

A. For the comfort of our guests with allergies, we cannot allow pets in our properties.

Q. Is smoking allowed on property?

A. No smoking and vaping is allowed inside any of the rental houses on the property.

Q. Do you provide baby gear such as cribs or high chairs?

A. These items are available upon request. Please see our Concierge Services. 

Q. Can you help us arrange kayak rental?

A. Yes, our Concierge Services can make any arrangements for you at an additional fee, or you could contact Goose Hummock directly.

Q. Is the home pre-stocked with linens?

A. Linen services are optional and you have the opportunity to order them at the time of reservation. The linen service includes beds being made, and towel sets being delivered prior to your arrival. Each towel set will include one beach, one bath and one wash cloth. In addition as part of the service a set of kitchen towels and one hand towel for each bath will be delivered.

Q. Is the home pre-stocked with food?

A. We can arrange to have the house pre-stocked with your choice of groceries at your request through our Concierge Services at an additional fee.

Q. Is the house pre-stocked with beach chairs?

A. We can arrange to have the house pre-stocked with beach chairs and beach umbrella's at your request through our Concierge Services at an additional fee.

Q. We have an elderly parent in our party. Are there many stairs to climb?

A. Each of our properties has a bedroom located on a lower level, but there may be a step or two to enter the home.

• The Blue Waters estate is equipped with an elevator and is handicapped accessible to one of the bedrooms and all living areas but of the two living rooms, which does require a step or two.
• The Windswept Property has a flipped floor plan, with the living area upstairs. While there are bedrooms on all floors, stairs are necessary to reach the front door from the upper level.

Q. Do we need a permit to drive on the dunes?

A. Please visit town of Orleans site for Over Sand Vehicles that provides all the information that you need for a permit.

Q. Do we need to pay for parking at the main beach?

A. Parking is available at all beaches. In East Orleans the Atlantic Ocean beach is called "Nauset Beach" and the beach on the bay is called "Skaket Beach". Please visit town website for parking. It provides all the information that you need for a permit.

Q. Can we host a special celebration on the property?

A. Yes, with the exception of weddings. We encourage you to use our Cape Cod Vacation Planner to make the event even more special. Do take note of maximum number of people allowed on the property. The occupancy noted is for day and night and it includes infants and children.

Q. Is the property suitable for a corporate or executive retreat?

A. The Blue Waters estate is an ideal location for such an event. If additional guest rooms are needed we can arrange for accommodations nearby.

Q. Can you recommend good restaurants, cafes or bakeries?

A. Absolutely. Please ask. We’ve lived on the Cape for many years and know all the good places!
